BLOCK Governance Smart Contract Launched on KleverChain Testnet: What’s Next?
At XPort Labs, we are thrilled to announce that as part of Stage 4 of the Klever Hackathon, the new smart contract for decentralized governance of the BLOCK token is now live on the KleverChain testnet! 
This marks the beginning of a new era of transparency and democracy in the ecosystem. BLOCK token holders can now actively participate in key decision-making processes and shape the future of the ecosystem.
What is the BLOCK Governance Smart Contract?
This is a tool that empowers the community of collective node owners on the BlockPort network, built on KleverChain, to make decisions collectively through a secure and transparent voting system.
Key areas of governance include:
- Setting validator node commission rates.
- Adjusting staking rates.
- Activating or deactivating nodes.
- Distributing rewards between token holders and ecosystem development.
- Setting or adjusting the minimum staking threshold.
- Burning tokens to regulate supply.
All votes, proposals, and their outcomes are immutably recorded on the blockchain, ensuring full transparency.

Very soon, every BLOCK holder will be able to become an active participant in governance.
