Increase the fee for doing UNJAILED

With the launch of KVM on October 28th, several nodes will be jailed because they are not updated. Would it make sense to increase the fee for unjailing? There are several nodes that frequently experience problems, and the nodes that haven’t been updated in several weeks have been reported.

Would this be beneficial for a more stable blockchain? What do you think the fee would be?

I’m open to opinions.

This fee is already high and will become too expensive if prices rise. The current fees already constitute a punishment.

The fee is only paid when the node is jailed, which in many cases is due to poor management.

The current cost is 10,000 KLV, which would be $22… Is this excessive for penalizing a node that could affect the stability of the blockchain?. I have a couple of nodes and have never been jailed.

When the price goes up we can review all the fees.

@Validators please join this idea and discussion to see if we need to create a proposal at this time to increase the unjail fee…

I agree the fee is already high and should not be changed. the cost will become more when price rises so validotor will incur the expense until they updae or fix node.

again while its not expensive now as the price increases that validator will always incur the cost. fees should be fixed regardless of price.

rising fee’s is never a long term solution, but rising benefits for nodes who never get jailed would be a idea just sayn.
