Staking is a powerful way to put your cryptocurrency to work and earn passive rewards over time. On the Bitcoin.me DEX, you can easily stake a variety of ecosystem tokens directly from your self-custody wallet, maintaining full control of your assets.
Follow this straightforward guide to learn how to lock your tokens into a staking pool using your connected Klever Extension.
Prerequisite: Ensure your Klever Extension is unlocked, funded, and connected to the Bitcoin.me platform.

Navigate to Staking: On the Bitcoin.me DEX top navigation bar, click on the “Earn” dropdown menu and select “Stake”.

Choose Your Token: You will be directed to the Staking page, which displays a list of available tokens, their Total Value Staked, and their current APR. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar on the right to find the specific token you wish to stake (e.g., DVK). Click on your chosen token to proceed.

Enter the Stake Amount: On the token’s specific staking page, enter the amount you want to deposit. You can type the exact number or use the convenient percentage buttons (25%, 50%, 75%, or MAX) below the input field.

Note: Please pay attention to the unbonding period warning displayed below the amount. When you eventually withdraw your liquidity, it will take a specific amount of time (e.g., 36h - 40h) to transfer back to your wallet, during which it will not generate rewards.

Initiate the Stake: Once you have entered your desired amount, click the orange “Stake” button.

Sign the Transaction: Your connected Klever Extension will automatically pop up. Carefully review the transaction details, including the specific Kapp and Bandwidth fees, and ensure the contract type says “Freeze”. Click “Sign” to authorize the transaction.

Confirmation: After the blockchain processes the transaction, a green “Success” banner will appear at the top of your screen, stating “Stake created successfully.” Your tokens are now staked and will begin earning rewards!
