Dear @Validators ,

We’re excited to announce the release of Klever Blockchain v1.7.15, now live on Mainnet!
This version delivers major performance enhancements, particularly in smart contract execution, as well as key security and infrastructure updates that make your node operations faster, safer, and more reliable.

Unlike previous releases, this is not a mandatory upgrade, but it is highly recommended to benefit from the latest optimizations and stability improvements.

The Klever Virtual Machine (KVM) just got faster and smarter:

  • [KLC-1895] Category-based strategy for VM hook timeout protection → improves smart contract execution efficiency.

  • [KLC-1894] Tolerance band validation for smart contract execution timeouts → reduces false-positive timeout errors in consensus.

  • [KLC-1904] Fixed VM timeout race condition → ensures more reliable smart contract execution under load.

  • [KLC-1903] Updated libp2p dependencies to address critical security alerts and strengthen peer-to-peer communication security.

API & Indexing

  • Fixed inconsistencies in broadcastTx responses for more predictable API behavior.

  • Added caller field to smart contract logs for enhanced traceability.

  • Improved type handling and data encoding flexibility.

Infrastructure & DevOps

  • Migrated GitHub workflows to self-hosted KleverPipe runners → faster, more reliable CI/CD.

  • Upgraded Docker images with multi-flavor and multi-architecture build automation for broader deployment options.

Documentation & Testing

  • Added comprehensive community and project documentation, improving developer onboarding.

  • Enhanced test coverage for core and indexer components, boosting reliability.

This release contains no breaking changes.
:white_check_mark: Migration Path: Simply update to v1.7.15-0-gc1de9106 – no configuration or data migrations required.

We recommend upgrading your node to gain:

Validators: please upgrade to v1.7.15 ASAP

We’re seeing consensus churn from a mixed-version set (1.7.14 vs 1.7.15). With >25% still on 1.7.14, slower nodes time out on specific tx paths and reject them while 1.7.15 accepts—causing prevote/precommit noise and short-lived instability. Primary/fallback pairs must run the same version.

Action now

  • Upgrade both your primary and fallback to v1.7.15-0-gc1de9106. Don’t mix versions.

  • This release has no breaking changes and brings major KVM performance gains plus critical security fixes. Klever

Network liveness has been recovering on its own, but we need everyone on 1.7.15 to stop the version split and stabilize consensus.
