Elevate Your Security Game: Keep Your KleverSafe Updated! 🚀

Greetings, KleverSafe Enthusiasts! :shield:

A huge shoutout to all the savvy users who’ve chosen the unbeatable security fortress of KleverSafe from Klever Electronics. Your commitment to top-tier security aligns perfectly with our mission to safeguard your crypto assets in an offline haven.

Why Update?
Firmware updates are the lifeblood of hardware wallets, delivering new features and support for emerging blockchain networks. These updates fall into two categories: optional and mandatory. Your Klever Wallet will keep you in the loop when it’s time for an upgrade.

Let’s Dive into the Upgrade Process:

  1. Preparation is Key:
    Grab your personal computer (Windows or Mac preferred). Sorry, mobile users, this one’s for the big screens! Linux users, don’t fret—special instructions for you below.

  2. Stable Connection Check:
    Ensure your computer is hooked up to a stable internet connection; a smooth upgrade ride depends on it!

  3. USB Tango:
    Connect your KleverSafe to your computer using the trusty USB cable.

  4. Visit the Gateway:
    Head to the KleverSafe update landing page at update.kleversafe.io. Click “Connect Wallet,” pair your device, and follow the on-screen magic.

  5. Dance of Progress:
    Witness the green blink on your KleverSafe; it’s the sign that the firmware update is in full swing.

  6. Warning Flash:
    Hold tight! Do NOT switch tabs or leave the update page during the process; your KleverSafe’s integrity is at stake.

  7. Victory Reset:
    When the update concludes, KleverSafe will gracefully reset, returning to its standard operating mode.

Linux Maestros, We Haven’t Forgotten You:
[Linux Users Only] Before diving into the update, run a special script. Create a file named “add-ks-udev.sh” with the lines below, execute it, and you’re good to go!

#!/bin/bash
cat <<EOF > /etc/udev/rules.d/20-klever-safe.rules
# KleverSafe
SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="3502", ATTRS{idProduct}=="3031", TAG+="uaccess", TAG+="udev-acl"
EOF
udevadm trigger
udevadm control --reload-rules

Stay in the Loop:
As we continue to add support for new blockchains, the KleverSafe team will keep you in the know about fresh firmware releases. If you’re diving into the world of new supported blockchains, make sure your KleverSafe is up-to-date at update.kleversafe.io today!
